My Background / Bio: I love to meet people, to learn about your life stories, your passions, your intentions. Although I am American I have spent most of my adult life in Europe, mainly in Italy, where I always enjoy the rich, people-centered talk culture and humanity of any interaction, even chatting with strangers for just a few moments while enjoying a coffee at a stand-up bar. Professionally, I have worked in academia for years and my interests there have always had to do with people. I completed a PhD in the humanities so my research was all about human nature. I studied people in the past–history, specifically that of Renaissance Italy–and although that time may sound distant, the letters and thoughts and motivations that people had back then are strikingly similar to ours today.
