I’m an educational entrepreneur living in Brooklyn, and love NYC! I moved here from Indy almost ten years ago, and thrive in a culture that is rich in the arts, architecture, and opportunity…I’m an innovator and a bit of a maverick, with a mind that definitely thinks outside the bubble–but have a small town heart. I love creating a sense of community and connection, whether it’s at my learning center in Park Slope with teens, or with singles as a matchmaker. I’m both dog and cat friendly, and appreciate all creatures great and small! If you’re a juxtaposition of eclectic angles, we would definitely work well together!
I’ve graduated with a BA in English from a little liberal arts college in Kansas City, and then earned a Masters in Education from the University of Missouri. After over a decade in traditional teaching positions (high school literature, speech, & drama–) I completed a 2-year certification as a professional life coach, and then worked for Yale University as a Program Coach & Master Trainer in Emotional Intelligence.
I love learning every day, and–while intuitive and occasionally passionate about my opinions–I’m completely inquisitive. It’s fun to consider new angles of situations, and this quality gives me an uncanny sense of people and chemistry!
